I profile color paper, which has the same dye set as duratrans. The color
viewing situations are pretty chaotic - Cool white deluxe, with a color temp
of about 4200K:
Lamp
Description Designation Atmosphere Color Rendering
Index (CRI) Kelvin Color
Temperature
Cool White CW Cool 62 4100K
Cool White Deluxe CWX Cool 89 4200K
The intensity of the light boxes is the widely varying difference - so I
just take one of my three tests that I have made with three different
"density" profiles, and place it on the light box for a VISUAL test - it
works very well for me.

Mark,
Have you tried profiling Duratrans "from a distance" with an instrument like
Minolta CS-100? Or do you profile direct with a DTP-41T?
