there are a couple of ways to extract / calculate the values for a profile.
Rather than opening a new color list (which will be blank) I suggest you open an existing RGB reference file. There are a couple in the "Stunt Files" folder that ships with ColorThink but you can also open any RGB reference file that ships with ProfileMaker. Then drop your profile on the color list and ColorThink will calculate Lab values.
If you want to do a direct evaluation of the input profile based on the characterization data then:
- open the profile in ColorThink and export the CIED and DEVD tags from the profile to text files.
- open the DEVD file in ColorThink and it will show as a color list
- drop you profile onto the color list to obtain Lab values
- graph these values
- select "Vectors" in the graph
- drop the reference file (CIED) onto the "destination" area in the grapher
you will then have a vector graph showing the accuracy of your input profile.

Steve
