Hello,
here is a short introduction how to convert a test chart image to a
text file (can be used as reference file in ProfileMaker or
MeasureTool):
- open the test chart image (tif)
- go to Filters/Conversion/Spot Colors
- type in the number of patches for Width and Height
- Check 'Enable' to verify weather the 'resolution' fits the test chart
- Use the 'Save As...' option to save the converted file as '.txt' file
Note: the tif chart should be designed rectangular, lines between
patches do not disturb.
Best regards

Hello all,
I would appreciate a helpful hint on using the GretagMacbeth ColorLab
utility. I have read that you can use that utility to turn an image of patches
into a color list text file. Can anyone help with specifics on which
menu path to use in ColorLab to do that?
Your help is much appreciated,
Scott
