Yes when the driver summary indicates Generic RGB this the the untouched rgb
numbers passing through the system level print spool data. You'll find it
this way in any case as Photoshop has to output rgb numbers which as you
said have to have an assumed space.
Just when I thought the two John's at Apple were opening up a couple years
ago about exactly what was going on , this little gem drove me bonkers. I
had to ask some driver engineers to reassure me that this was the case and
profiling with no color adjustment really meant what we intended even though
that scary term Generic RGB gets into the data when you open the summary or
spool files.
