This may seem like a strange question, but do any of you know how to fade
the effects of a desination profile? In my experience with Lightjet and
Indigo printing I have found no professionally made profile that gives me
what I need. Reds get muted or sometimes posterized, greens often become too
saturated and bright. So what we do is run system 9 so that we can run the
old colorsync filters, once applied as a filter the effect is faded back in
the range of 45%-95% depending on the image. This gives the best results.
I'd like to join the rest of the world and run system X, unfortunately the
colorsync filters don't work there. I've tried converting a second duplicate
layer to profile, with the intent of fading the opacity, but that won't
work. Any thoughts?
