Soon, you'll be able to tell exactly what "soft daylight" means, with the
help of a newer release of BabelColor for MacOSX and Windows. That is if you
have access to either an EyeOneDisplay or the regular EyeOnePro. Because, in
addition to providing new spectral tools for densitometry (Pro only),
metamerism (Pro only) and plain -- albeit quite advanced -- spectral
analysis (Pro only), the newer release of BabelColor will allow full (and
more) ISO-3664 conformance testing (Pro only). I spent the better part of
yesterday afternoon testing all the lamps in my studio/office (Solux,
Ott-Lite, GretagMacbeth, GTI and Just-Normlicht) and let me tell you I was
in for some surprises. I think this is going to get even more exciting when
folks begin to interchange measurements. But I'm getting away from the gist
of the thread -- sorry.
