There is a spot reading adapter that comes with the accessory kit. (needed to
keep
the measuring head at a critical distance from the target) but I think that
other
software is need to get this working. I used QuickRead (iccTools) with success
in
re-measuring my (old) 24 patch macbeth chart.

The Pulse that I have came with the DTP20, which does as Bruce suggested and
reads reflectively and also comes with the (highly regarded) DTP94 for
measuring
monitors. This I often use with other software like basICColor Display, for
example.
(because I like the DDC feature)
Printer profiles are built to a series of default preset options. I am really
impressed
with the printer profile quality made using the Pulse, especially
given the wizard interface and the limited custom options. The Pulse is
especially
suitable for someone who does not want to delve into the complexity of CM.
It is an almost foolproof way of producing profiles.
I am sorry, I have had no experience with & therefore cannot comment on the
eyeOne.

Richard
