How does the Imacon take mounted slides BTW as it uses a virtual drum to curve the film plane?
There is an optional mounted slide carrier which goes in straight. Ideally you would remove the slide from it's mount and use the standard 35mm carrier. Otherwise you would not get the advantage of the "virtual drum". Without going to something like an Creo EverSmart or a real drum scanner, the Imacon is at the top of the list when it comes to high-end film scanning.
