Why are you using the GIMP driver and not the 1270 driver? I have a 870
that I profiled just for fun and the screen to print match is quite
nice. There's nothing wrong with the GIMP route, but since there are OS
X drivers available for that printer...
I'm also not sure about calibrating the Artisan to D50, but that is
more of a personal choice. Calibrating to D50 reduces the amount of
color the Artisan can display as the blue is turned down so low. Again,
a matter of personal preference.
