Been there. I love the i1, but it can tempremental sometimes. Someone
once gave me a tip to put a strip of masking tape along the bottom edges of the
scanning ruler to raise the aperture a little off the paper surface to prevent
marring the chart. I don’t know if this would help in this case or not. I’ve
also tried rotating the i1 at different angles other than perpendicular to the
chart to measure some difficult strips, but I can’t say it really helps
other than makes me feel like I’m doing something different. As far as
the Mac vs PC thing…I’ve had these kind of measurement issues with
both platforms. Have you seen the Pulse. ;-)
