I suppose this could be useful if you believe that bigger is better. I
don¹t
happen to subscribe to this notion. I¹ve got a display sitting next to
my
Artisan that produces 98% of the Adobe RGB (1998) gamut and I don¹t
find a
single compelling reason to prefer it due to a number of issues. IOW,
the
only thing it brings to the party is a wider gamut but I wouldn¹t trade
it
in for my Artisan to do color critical work for all the dog bones in
China.
Dear Andrew
I tend to agree with you, so much so that I have avoided buying a top of
the range LCD to take on location, preferring to "hump" the Artisan
along instead! I'm totally spoilt by this monitor and would not dream
of using something less capable for really critical work.
I would be very interested in hearing your opinion as to how the Artisan
"stacks up" against the LaCie 22" CRT with it's integral monitor
calibration puck.
Cheers
Richard
