The chief difference
between the RelCol & Perceptual appears to be a tonal
move which feathers
to the black point at about 18 L*. It gradually starts in the
3/4
tones and becomes
more non-linear as it moves into the shadows. The out
of gamut mapping
appears to be the same in that the differences seem
attributeable to
only the tonal move. This was determined by sampling
the
B2A transforms on
neutral and then passing the inkings through the
respective A2B's to
determine the attained colors. Rel Col is linear and
clips at the black
point, whereas Perceptual shows the above described
tonal
compression.
