What matters most is that your display conditions match those of the people
you work with. If your display has a higher CRI than the fellow who is
working the press has, that could actually be a problem. I believe in
matching everything as closely as possible between boxes, right down to the
serial number on the tubes.
I was never this picky until it created a problem for us last year, and this
was the answer. The printer, the client and we all had the same tubes, but
were looking at different results until we relamped all the boxes.

I have Just Normlicht boxes here as most Europeans do. That said Andrew

clearly see better color rendering and smoothness on the GTI light boxes.
For this reason I would check out GTI boxes too.
Hi Neil
'Just' claim to have the best CRI of any manufacturer! They say that their
tubes CRI, based on 215 colours, not the 8 test colours in ISO 3664:2000,
is 95.6.
How do your figures stack up against these claims.
