Certainly as an example, but thanks for clarifying.
Of course, if the input profile is left at the default, changing the Color Mode settings changes both the rendering and the color space the image is encoded into, but I assume you're referring to "dramatic" changes with Color Mode settings when an external output profile has been specified.

Sorry, I'm one version behind. Nikon dropped support for DEE with version 4.2, and I had used DEE on thousands of images. Once I upgrade, all of those images will require significant re-adjustment before they are acceptable, so I've wanted to make sure I have high-res TIFFs of each, with appropriate output profiles, before upgrading. Needs to be done soon, because I need the latest incarnation of Capture for D2X files. It is interesting that Nikon dropped the profile name from the Color Mode settings, though. Sorry if I added to the confusion by referring to an OOD version.

I think we're all on the same page now... although Nikon still has to provide a way for Capture to specify a non-Nikon output profile in the Tiger environment.
