Epson's Colorbase linearisation or calibration could give a

Convince me that the Colorbase works on a 1290S and I will accept anything
that you ever say.
As mentioned in the message it only works for the new models.
Which are the 2400, x800s. The restriction to the 1290S in
this thread is new to me. It will be hard to find a
calibrate/linearise solution for that printer and then you
still have to profile a dye ink model. Usually not the most
consistent in color.
Incidentally Epson say that this module does not linearize a printer but
rather modifies it's characteristics in such a way as to enable a match with
their factory reference settings.
What could be called calibration.
