The restriction to the 1290S in
this thread is new to me.
But not for me as that is my printer and I am not likely to change it
in the
foreseeable future.
It will be hard to find a
calibrate/linearise solution for that printer and then you
still have to profile a dye ink model.
Image print do a RIP for this machine and as there must be thousands of
1290's out there it merely demonstrates the RIP makers lack of
imagination.
If you sell a RIP to a 1290 owner it is more than likely that he/she
will
stay with you.
ImagePrint "did" offer their rip for this model printer. All reference
to the 1290 has been removed from their site now. Maybe ImagePrint felt
that there isn't a commercial demand to support that printer?
Usually not the most
consistent in color.
Well I've knocked off up to 20 A4's of the same image and on more than
one
occasion, and they all looked much the same to me.
What could be called calibration.
Take it up with Epson, it's their statement and not mine.
