I higly recommend you start with Epson's own Stylus RIP for the 2200. I
managed to make decent profiles with it and it is not very expensive, I
gather. And there are always the ImagePrint RIPs which are always higlhy
regarded on this List and elsewhere. And there are the iProof type of RIPs,
the EFI DesignerEdition type of RIP, and a few more whose name does not come
to my mind now.
Basically, a RIP accepts PostScript operators and data and transforms it
onto raster data for the printer.
