The Curves dialog box behavior described by Abe in L*a*b* files
also happens
in 8 bits, not just in 16 bits.
The values for L* are entered correctly (all the way from 0 to
100), whereas
for a* and b* the Curves dialog box enters correctly only values
between
+127 and -99: any values *smaller* than -99 are entered only as
-10, -11 and
-12.
Clearly, it appears that something went wrong in the programming.
I'm having the same problem as described by Abe and Marco.
In LAB I can't get beyond -99 in the A and B channel using curves
when entering a digit using my keyboard.
I find it strange however that Chris Murphy doesn't have this
problem. Is it something Adobe already discovered and fixed in a
newer batch of Photoshop CD's?
Yours,
Job
