If you only have CIE-Lab values, you cannot convert it to visual
Density.
You can do a conversion to CIE-XYZ and calculate densities based on
X', Y' or Z' reflection, but they may not be used as 'visual density'.
CIE-L won't be sufficient for density calculations in my opinion
(just take a look at the values for a Yellow color).
