Hello everyone!
Advices needed!!!!
Story:
I have done a RGB profile for Epson R300 with ProfileMaker 5
The measurement is from 1560 color patches generated by Gretags Measuretool.
My normal procedure is to read them 3 times with Eye-One Pro using
Measuretool and averaging them to a final txt file (readings A+B+C=X).
Then I open up ProfileMaker using normal procedure for making RGB profile
(using Large, Neutral Gray, LOGO etc).
The BIG problem is, I always seem to have a tendency of reddish color in the
darker areas. Sometimes more sometimes less but it's still there and it's no
fun at all. This is not only for this particular printer.
Reading most of the post on this board soaking information as much as
possible tells me that "Dont do any profile editing".
What is the next step I can do?
Should I go for less color patches?
Use "Default" size instead of "Large" for the profile? (guess that will not
help much)
Turn back the printer and tell that is not working correctly?
Or just accept that this is the reddish life and be happy with what you got?
You can download a winzip file from this site. I took a picture of one of
the prints, its standing in a JUST viewing box. It looks much worse in real
then in the image so you can figure it out.
