Roger,
My informal answer is lotsa dots fill the quality requirements. Process
matters. We can use and frequently specify round with flexography.
Gravure is pseudo for electromechanical and round hybrid (my term) with
laser engraving. We typically use default with conventional film base Litho.
HDI is another story. And, we use various flavors of hybrid. Caveat is still
system calibration followed by characterization: in this stable environment
we can make decisions for screening specs based upon characterization data.
Which screening approach is most stable with respect to color shifts and
meeting deltaE tolerances?
Regards Sam
