Hello Matthew!
There is a trick to build black point compensation into profile. But such
profile should be used only with his pair.
You need to squeeze or to expand L values of destination device
measurements. For example, if your source is AdobeRGB 1998 (L min=0) and
your destination is Epson 7600 (Lmin=10), then you need to expand L from 10
to zero. Then you need to build new profile based on this simulated
measurements.
