In principles, you'd want to use AbsCol. In practice, you may have to edit
your profile to force the match. In an ideal world, you'd have a true
unmanaged route to your printer color. Most CMYK devices approach this
ideal. And therefore lend themselves better to the principles behind color
management. To me, the more a system deviates from this ideal the less
chance there are, let's face it, to retain control over the conversion. Do
keep in mind that, even in an ideal world, there are so much colors that
your printer can recreate. So you could miss the ColorChecker red or yellow
or green or blue or cyan because they are too saturated for the printer to
reproduce faithfully.
One last comment, not all rendering intents are created equal.
