I think the point is all graphing in ColorThink is done in D50 Lab and
ProPhoto has a D50 white point so the top of the gamut aligns with the L
axis. In fact as a result of this D65 sRGB even appears to have colours
outside of ProPhoto, which of course is not the case.
Steve Upton told me this some time ago, when I was shocked to see sRGB
colours appearing to be outside ProPhoto.
