Does this mean that if I only have a regular EyeOnePro without the Beamer
kit I can't do projector profiling?

The Eye-One device has the capability for projector profiling but without the Beamer holder you will have a difficult time holding the Eye-One and adjusting it for the best measurement. You may have noticed that there are no built-in convenient mounts on the Eye-One and it has curved surfaces.

If you are using the GretagMacbeth software, you must have purchased the Beamer unlock code or the software will not allow projector profiling. The unlock code is used to set the permissions flags in non-volatile memory in the Eye-One for projector profiling. For GretagMacbeth software, the Eye-One is your copy protection dongle. Some versions of the Eye-One have the Beamer feature unlocked. The LicenseTool program from GretagMacbeth can be used to check the unlocked features of your Eye-One and enter unlock codes, when purchased.
