I believe your machine came out in 2000. Much has changed since then.
While technically it works with OS X (up to 10.3.9, at least: I am not sure
about Tiger, though), the main issue with it is its limited processing
power, mainly its bus speed bottleneck at 100 MHz, compared to today's bus
speeds of well over 1 GHz.
If you run a recently issued version of Photoshop on this older Mac, for
example, you are bound to be bogged down by this very serious limitation in
processing power.
Applications evolve: unfortunately, this makes it harder and harder, as time
goes by, to run them on older CPUs. But fortunately these applications also
prove more and more powerful when used on the latest CPUs.
One cannot hold on to an older machine for too long if it is the one used
for professional work. The time comes, sooner or later, when one must either
adapt (i.e., upgrade) or become irrelevant.
