You will NOT be able to produce a reliable monitor profile in this manner.
As someone else already said, you must calibrate and profile your monitor
using a colorimeter together with appropriate third-party software.
My suggestion, for results that will be relatively good, is that you buy
GretagMacbeth's EyeOne Display 2 and use it with their free monitor
profiling software, EyeOne Match.

The relatively small investment in equipment will pay itself back in spades.
Whatever you do, please stop trying to do it as you are doing it now with
the Display Calibrator Assistant. That is a procedure of last resort, good
only if your needs and standards are below average. But you say that you
"need it right," so you should definitely not use that.
