Thanks for your suggestion. This is probably the safest way to do it, or
by replacing @ by "at" and . by "dot" with spaces.
There is actually another way to turn robots away from an email address,
it is by scrambling it in Java code. The mailto form will work however
when you click on the link. There is a web site where you can do this
online and pick up the scrambled address to add it to the site:

Actually what they did to me lately was to use my domain name and invent
lots of email addresses from there. They used them to post invitations
all over the place to visit a dirty website. Oh well, I guess that the
addressees will have understood that I was not the initiator, but it is
always a bit disturbing to be targeted and associated with such ...
there is no word.

I was reluctant to post this to the list not to give another bad idea to
potential spammers who would read it...
