not crazy at all. Actually we have a technology (patent pending) that does just that.
Our ColorCast technology which is available as an option in ColorThink Pro will allow you to 'embed' the proofing 'effect' of any profile inside any other profile.
So in your case I would suggest embedding your 6-channel profile inside Adobe RGB (calling it something other than Adobe RGB of course). Then you just load the new RGB profile into your system and you can use it for soft and hard proofing of your 6-channel profile's effects in Photoshop. Photoshop happily uses it as a normal RGB profile.
ColorCast also encodes each of the rendering intents from the original 6-channel profile inside the ColorCast profile. So when you change rendering intents in Photoshop's Proof Setup dialog, you'll see the effect of the original profile's intents.
