Hello,
This may be old news for most, but Ive just installed Photoshop CS 2
for the first time. Am I mistaken or has Absolute rendering become purely
ornamental? I still see it there in the colour settings box but it
apparently has no baring on the resulting conversion . It is obvious that
Photoshop is still using absolute for soft proofing paper white, but I
dont seem to be able to use it for conversions. I am not simply
referring to the absence of a visible change on the screen but also the
change of a* and b* values as indicated by the info palette. But of
course its a vicious circle since without absolute in the colour
setting's box I can't really know what the true lab values are.
Am I missing something?
Eugène Appert?
