Sorry, my understanding was, that the paper in question would definitively contain optical brightener.
That paper has been available as Somerset Velvet (without OBs) and as Somerset Velvet Photo Enhanced (with OBs). The latter is far more common and it what I almost always see being used. Could the fact that SVPE certainly contains OBs yet PMP doesn't always detect them be a measurement issue? Or a detection threshold isssue?
One time, I took sheets from the same box of SVPE and profiled an Epson 4000 and a 9600. PMP detected OBs on one but not the other. Same device, no UV filter. I have the measurement files. This is one of those situations where the theory and real world usage do not line up as one would expect.
