Trap and tack are related, but not the same.

"The tack of an ink is the force required to split a thin film of ink…" (internationalpaper.com/PDF/ PDFs_for_Papers/Ink Systems.pdf)

Tack describes a quality of an individual ink while trap describes the interaction of more than one ink.

The tack sequence must be correct to permit effective trapping.
