This profile naming scheme clearly and unambiguously designates the country
as the "application", as in "Europe", but also identitify unequivocaly the
originator of the profile, as in Fogra or ECI or SWOP or Chromix or Fuji or
Gracol or X-Rite or HDM or Fuji or Kodak or Adobe or HP or Microsoft or Sun
or AGFA or <gasp> China.
"Adobe EuroCoated v2" or "Adobe Europe Coated v2" makes perfect sense.
Sorry Roger, I don't agree.
The Europe version of Adobe's profile is not European at all.
It's just "not US nor Japan".
Adobe seems to split the world in 3 regions.
US (included Canada!), Japan and Europe.
But that's (in my opinion) wrong.
The standards they link to Europe are no European standards.
These standards are international. International Standards Organization!!
So get rid of the Europe notation. Just the original dataset is important.
Plus the substrate to print on.
Like AdobeIsoCoatedV2 or AdobeFogra39_coated
ECI ISOcoatedV2 or ECI Fogra39 coated is another possibility.
But no Europe in it.
I think.
