True, and I remember very well how expensive those filters were in 2000!

That having been said, it seems to me that the jury is still out (or is it
not?) regarding whether a UV filter is truly needed for those of us who
avail themselves of ProfileMaker and its "Correct for Optical Brighteners"
option. (That software option is not available to Monaco Profiler users, in
which case a hardware UV filter becomes necessary.)
