| A client of a client has a Canon CLC1180 driven by a Fiery PS-NX600. They are asking about possibility of calibration and profiling. I know that the regular calibration routine (which they never do!) uses the scanner part of the copier to read in a 60-step chart. Can this be done by plugging in a spectro (DTP41 etc)? Can't seem to get any technical info on EFI website. Is there a secret techie website? Is it possible to create accurate profiles. Can the rip's conversions be disabled in order to do this? Can paper or reference profiles be downloaded (over ethernet or from laptop plugged in) to the Fiery? I know that traditionally ColorSyncers haven't had a lot of luck with EFI (I certainly haven't appart from the excellent Best Rip.). Any tips would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance
