Doug,
I recommend Graphiclite 100, partly because they are installed in over
10,000 stations nationwide, so what you see will have a high likelihood of
matching elsewhere, and partly because they have the smoothest, most
"continuous" spectrum of any so-called "D-50" fluorescent bulb I've tested.
Interestingly, GTI bulbs don't have the highest CRI value (about 92), but
CRI is a very misleading metric of illumination quality. I've tested bulbs
with CRIs as high as 98 and found them to have terrible metamerism problems.
The truth is, no fluorescent bulb (or any other commercial light source) can
effectively match the D50 standard, because the standard was written in a
scientific mode with little thought for practical implementation. Work is
under way to rectify this.
Regards,
Don
