Hi all,
I want to make a profile for printing almost metamerism free black and white
photos through a rip on an Epson 9600. What would be the best procedure to
create the profile if I do not want to use the yellow ink? Cutting the
yellow channel totally down in the linearization of the printer and
simulating a low gamut device? Creating a special cm(y)k target without
yellow patches? Using a special separation? Any ideas welcome.
Thanks,

I would suggest to check the QTR RIP (50$) and either clone
their approach (curves + ICC profiles + B&W ICC profile
creation) for your RIP or just use it as it is. It is
essentially a B&W RIP that allows additional toning with the
other hues. 9600 driver aboard.
