"Everyone" is a singular compound noun.
Most native speakers of English would prefer
"Everyone is talking"
over
"Everyone are talking"
For example.
(Hence "everyone is tweaking" is preferred over "everyone are tweaking....")

Mr Frasier
You are too important a figure in the Photoshop and Colour Management world
for me to become involved with you in such a way that might result in a
situation that could undermine your self esteem, and therefore your
professional effectiveness.
Have I not worshipped at the shrine of "Pixel Genius" and been rewarded for
my endeavours with much improved print sharpness.
Am I not currently jammed between the pages of Real World Colour (yes
Colour) Management with the emergence from same surely resulting in a most
considerably improved ability to produce the very finest ink jet prints ever
exhibited in Barnet Central Library.
Under those two conditions how could I consider the possibility of biting
the hand that has, is and surely will continue to feed me - technical
competence wise.
In any case, I am well aware that you, as an ex Scotsman, must surely be
somewhat distraught by the current news that the canny we smoothie Charles
Kennedy could well be departing as leader of the Liberal Democrats due to an
over fond addiction to that "wee" stinger out of the house of a particular
single malt provider.
No sir, I know my duty and history will show that I met my obligations and
then did a runner.
Richard
