First, you have to set a Proofing Profile, for example your 'Ink A' Profile,
then you'll see the missing colors of the proofing gamut in relation to your
picture gamut.

That's the answer I am looking for and I thank you for it.
I have just won an argument in my Photographic club on this very issue but I
am not prepared to share my winnings with you, so the glory will have to do.

Further to my first question let me ask another.

I am assuming that when Photoshop is installed, it becomes aware of the
Windows/system32/spool/driver arrangement and that if no printer profiles
exist there will be no effect shown using the gamut selection, even though
you can still go ahead and print something onto something
