Title: supplying RGB files to European printers

They probably want RGB so that they can control the CMYK conversion.  Several printers we use have reported bad experiences with clients who have sent CMYK files that are using the wrong flavor of CMYK, for other presses, not realizing how device dependent CMYK is...  they therefore get unpredictable results (predictably :) ).  When we are supplied with the correct CMYK ICC profile and do the conversions ourselves, we get very good results.  Just REMEMBER to save the original RGB files so that if you go back to press in a year or three, and have to use a different printer in a different part of the world, you can do the CMYK conversions all over again using the CMYK ICC profile of the new printer.
