I assume you want to compare two "spot" measurements or single colors as opposed to an entire testchart. If you want to roll-your-own, go to Bruce Lindbloom's site ( www.brucelindbloom.com). There you'll find the necessary formulae for doing your own calculations in Excel or whatever. Straight delta e is pretty simple, the other flavors (see below) not-so.
If you've got ProfileMaker, you've got Measure Tool. If you've got Measure Tool, there's a Spot measurement function right in the program for comparing Reference and Sample colors. I think you can even choose what flavor (vanilla, chocolate or strawberry) of delta e you want to use. Personally, I prefer the Cappuccino Crunch 2000 flavor but many find the Chocolate Mocha Crunch (CMC) in a 2:1 ratio to be more to their liking. To each his own.
