In our work with Matchprint Virtual, we have confirmed that the best result
occurs when a neutral gray backing is used such as Munsel N7 or N8.
Wow, this is news to me; can be perfectly valid, though.
So according to your tests, the viewer's experience of a hard copy
proof in a viewing booth is best represented by measurements over
neutral gray backing?
Or might this be only when translated to emmisive (soft-proofing)?
For example, do you use the same "gray back measured" profiles as
source profiles in your "hard copy" proofing products? (Matchprint
Inkjet, Veris)
