Gutenprint as poor man's RIP ?

Hi folks,

Hi -

I'd like to use Gutenprint on my Mac (Tiger) as a poor man's RIP. How
do I send CMYK files directly to print ? Is there a way to get at the
various curves ? I'd be creating my own profiles of course -
