I haven't looked at all the options yet, so I don't know if the
following is available already, but I would very much like to see a
driver that allows one to build a custom graybalance, yet have it
act as a normal RGB driver. The question becomes: how can one
"methodically" create a custom graybalance, while bypassing the
normal printing pipeline. This Gutenprint could well do it, no?
Gutenprint does allow you to specify gray balance, although not in
terms of full CMYK curves all the way up. Maybe that's something we
should do at some point.
