What are the best monitors on the market.

I am searching for a new display monitor (LCD or CRT) that is
considered the state of the art, top of the line for accurate color
display. I am curious as to what monitors you recommend when money is
no object and color prediction is absolutely critical.
I am dealing with a fully color managed environment but the CRT
monitors of this company are on their last legs and no profile in the
world can bring them back from the grave. The best profiled monitor
in the shop is a SyncMaster 204t from Samsung and I have a hard time
believing this consumer level monitor is the best possible display
for fine color work (Though I must admit that the 3D model of the
profile compares well with Adobe RGB).
In the past, a CRT Trinitron from a good vender was a must. However,
In the days of LCD monitors I admit am quite lost!
