Hi Edmund,
Without a profile you won't have a system that will be able to simulate the printer.
You have a couple of choices though:
1. You can view the measurement file on screen. This will give you a view of the printer in it's unprofiled state.
2. Calculate a profile and then open the image file into Photoshop that you want to test. Then, in proof setup, select your profile and check "preserve color numbers". This will show you what the file would look like if printed with no conversion. The file needs to be in the same color model (RGB, CMYK) as the printer.
