Kevin.
To be sure I am under the impression that SRDS stands for Standard Rate &
Data Service.
One answer is to create press profiles that represent the different TIL
values and then convert the images to those press characteristics.
As for your k drop shadow question, one solution would be to use a device
link to maintain the k only shadows.
If you went that route and had all of the supporting tools like a rip that
handles device links and a device link application you would on your way.
