SWOP and TR001 refer to a specific printing condition using
conventional (AM?) screening at 133 lpi, etc.
So would not be applicable for stochastic printing with regard to
Tone Transfer (dot gain) characteristics, etc.
Also will you be printing stochastic by web offset, which is what
SWOP is for? (Specifications for Web Offset Publications)
Might be applicable for colorimetric data, if profile was edited for
tone? I think it would be safer to print the IT8 charts and make a
custom profile.
Is anyone doing inkjet proofing for stochastic printing and if so are
they using SWOP (tr001) as a standard or something else?
Thanks.
