Hi Ken.
Couldn't agree more: address the problem by tackling it at the roots.
Around 1998 I switched to an RGB workflow as my preferred way of working.
That way, exceeding TAC values becomes a quaint worry from a distant past,
as long as the final conversion to CMYK is done using the correct parameters
-- namely, properly-created and -used ICC profiles.
