will be achievable for several years then 120 - 140 cd/m2 is a good

Hi Dan,
What’s your experience with the CG220 and luminance levels. Eizo isn’t recommending anything over 120 cd/m^2, but I’m not able to get anything over 110-115 out of it. Ambient light is relatively low, so this hasn’t been a problem for me, but I wonder if other units are similar in what they can achieve.
If I remember correctly, the CG220 was quite a bit lower than the CG21 and CG210, I think 160 cd/m2. Remember they want these displays to maintain calibration for up to three years. So recommending a lower luminance is not a bad idea. Similar approach to the Artisan and Barco software of CRTs. If you didn’t use their software you could easily hit 120 cd/m2 with a new display; they capped the luminance at 98 or something to allow the display to be calibrated for several years.
